Partnerize works with some of the industry’s most successful and influential publisher partners. Our Partner Perspective series sets out to learn from the best of the best and pick up a few secrets to their success along the way. In this installment, we sat down with Pete Richardson, Head of Partnerships at Linkby and here’s what he had to say.
Share a little about your company
Pete Richardson (PR): Linkby is a global adtech business that connects both established and emerging D2C ecommerce brands with the world’s largest commerce partners. Across Australia, the US, Canada, the United Kingdom and Southeast Asia, we work with the likes of Daily Mail, Meredith, News Corp, 7NEWS, Condé Nast, Hearst and more than 400 other titles. Linkby helps brands work with commerce partners more profitably and effectively than ever before using cost per click and cost per mille metrics. The short version? Linkby helps unlock access to new and premium audiences that are a great fit for your brand.
Please describe a typical day in your office
PR: We’re a hybrid team working from home four days a week and in the office one day. Our days are usually packed with onboarding new brands, presenting to agencies, running strategy sessions with existing clients and working closely with our network of publishers.
What types of programs is your team looking to partner with?
PR: The brands we work with span a wide range of categories including beauty, fashion, skincare, travel, tech, home, sleep, sexual wellness and health and wellness.
Can you share a success highlight from your partnership with Partnerize that really stands out to you?
PR: Over the past year we’ve partnered extensively with Flight Centre, Partnerize client, to help them secure feature length editorial for their various sales and promotions. Their campaigns are often accepted by publishers within minutes of being submitted, and we’ve seen great results in driving visibility and performance.
What Partnerize technology innovation has had the greatest impact on your team?
PR: Being able to track all campaigns and conversions, and see which publishers are driving them through the Partnerize platform has made a huge difference. That access to data helps us make smarter recommendations, secure better coverage and deliver stronger results for our brands.
What sets your company apart from others or makes it unique?
PR: Our team is made up of publishing experts who provide a managed service level of support, but without the monthly fees or retainers. We manually review every campaign that comes through the platform and offer suggestions to make sure it’s set up for success before it even hits publishers’ dashboards.
What do you attribute your company’s success to with Partnerize?
PR: Our success with Partnerize comes down to true collaboration. We work closely with their team to find new opportunities for brands and keep them coming back. The team regularly recommends Linkby as a way for brands to build their content presence and reach new audiences.
What is one thing people should know about your company?
PR: Linkby gives brands the ability to pitch to over 400 of the world’s biggest and most trusted commerce partners through one simple brief. In return, they can secure editorial coverage that builds trust, creates buzz and drives results. It’s never been easier for a brand to go global by tapping into our UK, US and Australian networks.
What’s on the roadmap for your company?
PR: We’ve got a bunch of exciting platform updates coming soon. One of the biggest is a feature called Competitive Budget. Instead of giving each publisher a separate allocation, all publishers will draw from one master budget on a first come, first served basis. It’s perfect for campaigns where the main goal is driving high volumes of clicks, definitely one to consider for EOFY.
Three words that best describe your company… go!
PR: Collaborative. Hungry. Innovative.
