In the fast-evolving world of partnerships, success isn’t just about data and performance metrics—it’s about fostering relationships, challenging norms, and creating opportunities for growth. As women making strides in this space, Ashley Franqui, Account Strategist at Partnerize, and I sat down to discuss mentorship, overcoming challenges, and the future of partnership marketing. Ashley’s passion for supporting and uplifting others shines through in every aspect of her career, making her an inspiring voice for the next generation of leaders in our industry.

When asked about the role mentorship has played in her journey, Ashley emphasized its profound impact. “Mentorship has had such an incredible impact on my growth and has truly played a unique and strong part in who I am in and outside of the workplace. I’ve been fortunate to have mentors and colleagues who not only shared their expertise but also provided emotional support during challenging moments,” she shared. Some of Ashley’s greatest influences have been remarkable women who have guided her through the complexities of partnership marketing and life in general. “They exemplify what it means to lead with kindness, balance, resilience, and perseverance. I believe in the power of coming together and doing our part, no matter how big or small, to make the world and the lives of others wonderful.” Because of the positive experiences she’s had, Ashley makes it a point to be that helping hand for others, especially young women entering the field. “I take much pride and care in helping others, following in the footsteps of my mentors, and contributing what I can to support creating strong, resilient women.”

Overcoming Challenges as a Woman in the Industry
Like many women in the workforce, Ashley has faced challenges, particularly as one of the youngest in the room. “It’s been a journey of learning to be assertive, stand firm in my beliefs, and advocate for what’s right, even when it’s not the easy path. Overcoming these obstacles has been about finding my voice and recognizing that my contributions are just as valuable as anyone else’s.” Ashley credits Partnerize with fostering an environment that celebrates diverse ideas and contributions, something she actively works to extend beyond her company. “I make it a point to create more inclusive spaces in meetings where women’s perspectives are equally heard and valued. These experiences have truly fueled my passion for breaking down barriers and supporting others along the way.”

Redefining Success in Partnerships
So, how can women continue to push boundaries in the evolving partnership space? According to Ashley, it’s all about shifting the definition of success.“Women have the power to redefine success by continuously pushing for a more inclusive and collaborative industry, challenging traditional norms, and embracing innovation. One key lesson I’ve learned is the value of mutually beneficial partnerships.”

In an industry that is heavily focused on data and KPIs, Ashley believes trust and long-term relationships should be just as important. “Success shouldn’t just be about short-term revenue or quick wins—it’s about the lasting relationships we build and the positive impact we create. True success goes beyond numbers; it’s about fostering partnerships where everyone benefits.” Women, she notes, have a natural ability to lead this shift through their empathy and collaborative mindset. “By staying curious, adaptable, and supportive of each other, women can continue to break boundaries and set new standards for what success looks like.”

Ashley is particularly excited about how AI and automation are shaping the partnership and influencer marketing space. “With these tools, we’re able to streamline a lot of the manual work, personalize campaigns more effectively, and track performance in ways that were once impossible.” However, while technology plays a crucial role, she emphasizes that the human element remains essential. “As brands embrace these tech-driven trends, they’re also recognizing the importance of fostering lasting, authentic relationships. This creates a unique opportunity for women to blend data, creativity, and empathy, crafting campaigns that are not only innovative but also deeply resonant with their audiences in a thoughtful and meaningful way.”
