1. Introduction and Scope
Partnerize and its subsidiary companies (together “we,” “our” or “us”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the security and privacy of all personal information we collect or handle.
Partnerize is the trading name of Performance Horizon Group Limited, a company organized under the laws of the United Kingdom with an address of Level 8, West One, Forth Banks, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Partnerize is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office with registration number Z2226774.
Partnerize provides websites such as www.partnerize.com, www.pepperjam.com and www.brandverity.com (each a “Website”) and software and services through online platforms that help our business clients find and compensate publisher partners who display their advertisements, and also provides such clients with online brand monitoring services (each a “Platform”, and collectively with the Websites, the “Services”). This Privacy Statement (“Statement”) applies to all Services that link to this Statement.
Data Collection – Partnerize Services
Partnerize controls the collection, use, disclosure or retention of personal information in the following contexts:
- When you provide personal information to us through forms or chat functions on our Websites for the purposes of learning more about Partnerize Services;
- When you provide personal information to us when you register to use our Services;
- When you provide personal information to us as part of an application for employment through the “Careers” page of the Partnerize Website or through other means;
- For personal information that our Websites and/or Platforms automatically collect from you as you use and navigate our Services;
- When business intelligence service providers or existing Partnerize clients send us information regarding individuals engaging in affiliate marketing; and
- When you provide personal information to Partnerize through other channels such as by email, telephone and direct communications.
If you submit information of other individuals to Partnerize through the Services, you must be legally permitted to share that personal information with Partnerize.
Data Collection – Consumers
Partnerize provides software and services that help advertisers find publisher partners to display their advertisements, and help advertisers compensate those publishers when a consumer clicks on one of those advertisements and then engages with the advertiser’s website. In order to enable this, Partnerize records a consumer’s journey from a publisher website to an advertiser website. In this process, Partnerize may record end consumer’s IP addresses, browser information, device and operating system information and/or cookie information. Partnerize also collects limited transactional information from the advertiser relating to subsequent engagement with that advertiser’s website, such as a product purchase. We collect this information to provide client support, invoicing and payment services, fraud detection, system maintenance and to develop additional functionality. We do not collect or record personally identifying information such as names, contact information, shipping information, payment card numbers or usernames from end consumers, nor do we use information from these transactions for our own direct marketing purposes. If you are a consumer, you should review the privacy policies of the advertiser websites to better understand what information is collected on those websites.
Partnerize’s BrandVerity solution provides brand monitoring services. These services do not involve the collection or handling of personally identifying information relating to consumers.
Data Collection – Third Party Services
The websites that link to this Statement may contain links to websites owned and operated by unaffiliated third parties. These unaffiliated third-party websites may collect information about you under their own privacy notices and terms of service. Partnerize does not control, and is not responsible for, the practices of those third parties.

*When you visit our Websites, we log information about your visit, even if you have not created an account with Partnerize. This includes information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location, searches you conduct on our Website, device information and cookie information. We use this log information to operate our Services and ensure their performance. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy which includes information on how to control or opt out of cookies and tracking technologies.
**For customers that purchase the BrandVerity solution, Partnerize may permit the collection of payments by credit card through a payment processor. In this case, Partnerize may also obtain credit card numbers through such payment processors for the purpose of collecting payments from these customers.
4. Categories of Third Parties with Whom Your Information is Shared
We share personal information with the following categories of third parties:
- With our affiliates for the purpose of operating and marketing our Services;
- If you have registered as a publisher partner, with individuals and companies with whom you have a business relationship on our Platforms, or who may be interested in having a business relationship with you. For example, if you run a publisher website, we may disclose your information to advertisers whose products or services you may wish to promote using our technology;
- With our service providers that provide services for us to help us host and operate our Services, and that help us understand the use of our Services, such as analytics providers. Sharing with service providers and contractors is subject to appropriate written obligations of confidentiality and security obligations, and we authorize our service providers to use personal information only to provide services to us under our instructions;
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
- When disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, in such case you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Websites of any change in ownership or uses of your information, as well as any choices you have regarding your information; or
- With other third parties, when we have your prior consent to do so.
5. Rights of Users Located in the United Kingdom and Europe
Under the data protection laws applicable in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and Switzerland, you have the following rights:
- Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
- Right of rectification – you have a right to correct information that we hold about you if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to erasure – in certain circumstances you can ask for the information we hold about you to be deleted from our records.
- Right to restriction of processing – where certain conditions apply you have a right to prevent any further processing of your information without it being deleted.
- Right of portability – in certain circumstances, you have the right to receive the information you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have that information transmitted to another organisation.
- Right to object – you have the right to object to our processing of your information where this is processing is based on our own or others’ legitimate interests, or where your information is used for direct marketing or for research or statistical purposes.
- Rights in relation to automated decision making, including profiling – you also have the right not to have significant decisions made about you based entirely on automated processing (e.g. by a computer). Significant decisions are those that have legal or similarly significant implications for you. We do not currently undertake any such automated processing.
- Right to withdraw any consent you have given to us at any time – this will not affect the lawfulness of our use based on consent before you withdrew it.
- Right to complain to the data protection authority in your region.

6. Rights of California Consumers
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) provides California residents with rights to receive certain disclosures regarding the collection, use and sharing of personal information as well as rights to access and delete certain personal information collected about them. You or your authorized agent may submit a request to exercise the rights described in this section by completing this form or by calling us at (877) 796-5700. In order to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or deletion, we may require that you provide additional information to verify your identity.
The section of this Statement titled “Personal Information We Collect and Sources,” which describes the categories of personal information we collect and the categories of sources from which we collect it, describes the types of personal information we have collected about California consumers in the past 12 months.
You have the right to request that we disclose to you the categories of personal information and specific pieces of information we have collected about you. You also have the right to request that we delete your personal information.
You have the right to exercise the rights listed above free of charge or penalty, but we may limit the number of requests you make or charge reasonable fees as legally permitted for requests that are excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.
You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of any of the privacy rights conferred by the CCPA. Partnerize will not discriminate against you if you exercise your rights under the CCPA.
You may designate an authorized agent to exercise some of your rights; however, in order to help protect the security of your personal information, the authorized agent must follow our authentication procedures that are required to exercise your rights using an agent.Partnerize will verify requests made through authorized agents to help ensure the safety of your personal information and to comply with our policies and procedures.” All verification procedures will depend upon the nature of the request and the information we possess.
Partnerize does not “sell” personal information as the term is traditionally understood. Specifically, we do not provide personal information to data brokers or third parties for their own marketing purposes in exchange for money.” As defined by California law, Partnerize may “sell” personal information only to the extent that our use of marketing and analytics cookies on our Websites may qualify as such a sale.” In the past 12 months, through such marketing and analytics cookies, Partnerize has disclosed online identifiers (such as IP address and cookie identifiers) and Internet or other electronic network activity information to third-party marketing and analytics providers.” As defined by California law, Partnerize does not sell personal information obtained from the registration for or use of our Platforms, nor do we sell personal information obtained from end consumers who interact with an advertisement placed through our Platforms.
California consumers have the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information.” You can opt out through the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” button on the cookie consent banner at the bottom of the Partnerize webpage or by updating your consent on our Cookie Policy page.
We do not sell the personal information of consumers under the age of 16 if we have actual knowledge of the individual’s age.
“Do Not Track” Signals
Do Not Track is a privacy preference that you may set in certain browsers or may be preset in certain instances. Partnerize.com and Pepperjam.com do not currently honor Do Not Track signals sent by browsers or otherwise included through third party intermediaries. BrandVerity.com recognizes automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include Do Not Track instructions.
7. Cross Border Transfers
In order to use our Websites and Platforms, you authorize Partnerize to transfer your personal information across national borders and to other countries where Partnerize operates, including the United States. The privacy protections and rights of authorities to access your information in these countries may not be equivalent to those in your country. We will only transfer your personal information to these countries where permitted to do so by law and we will take steps intended to ensure that your personal information continues to receive appropriate protections. When we transfer your personal information from the EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom to a country that is not within the EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, and is not subject to an adequacy decision by the EU Commission, we rely either on contracts incorporating approved standard contractual clauses or on your consent, depending on the circumstances. We will provide a copy of these contracts if you make a request to the contact e-mail provided at the end of this Statement.
8. How Long We Will Retain Your Information
We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
9. Cookies and Other Web Technologies
A cookie is a small text file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and is stored by the browser. We or our service providers may also place embedded scripts and other tracking technologies like clear gifs (sometimes called “web beacons,” “tracking pixels” or “tags”), which are pieces of code that can be embedded on websites and into e-mails. These can be used to learn how you interact with that website, what you have clicked on, or whether you have opened e-mails we have sent to you. We also use cookies and other web technologies to deliver site ads to visitors after they leave our Websites, via retargeting. You may be able to decline cookies through the settings of the internet browsers you use. However, if you decline cookies some of the features and functionality of our Services may not work properly. 10. Security of Information
We have implemented commercially reasonable security measures, including physical, electronic and administrative safeguards, to prevent the unauthorized access to, loss, misuse or alteration of the information collected through our Services.
11. Children's Information
Our Services are not directed at children. If you are under the age of 16, please do not provide any personal information through our Services. If we obtain actual knowledge that any information we collect has been provided by a child under the age of 16, we will promptly delete the information.
